Blackberry Farm Park, Whitesmith( Near Lewes)

Over the Bank Holiday my family and I visited a fantastic Farm park near Lewes called Blackberry Farm, which is really geared up for pre-school children and children of all ages to have an educational and safe, fun family day out. As soon as we arrived we got a chance to handle the animals from rabbits, guniea pigs to ferrets and rats, this was a wonderful experience for the kids, we walked round the animal farm looking at the goats, pigs and donkeys who were extremely friendly, beautifully kept and clean, they also got very excited with the food that we could feed them with!! Then it was time for a break and much needed picnic with plenty of tables and children's benches to sit at and hot coffee's for mums and dads! We all enjoyed the playground with amazing variety of pre-school brightly coloured play frames, a huge bouncing pillow which the adults also enjoyed!, super fast slides, swing boats, zip wire, pedal go-karts with seats at the back for young children, wooden climbing frames and animal happy hopperz, Blackberry farms space hopper alternative!

We then had a pre-booked pony ride at the stables and a tractor ride around the park, waving and smiling at people as we went round. This was a lovely opportunity to talk to our young children about the farm environment and the larger animals that were in the open fields, we saw highland cattle, alpacas, llamas, shetland ponies and sheep too. Then it was time for an ice-cream and a chance to play in the indoor ball pits with slides and lots of areas to explore. This farm park has something for everyone and makes a great family day out. As we were leaving everyone said that they can't wait to come back again!!! Seven Sisters Sheep Farm,(near Eastbourne, East Sussex)

Nestled in the South Downs and part of the Seven Sisters countryside sits a farm with a wealth of animals and farm culture which will leave you spellbound. I recently spent a day on this farm learning about sheep shearing, bottle feeding animals and how people live of the land on this working sheep farm. The farm offers Tractor rides, craft shed, Terry's Ark, childrens play area with picnic tables and tea room to assist your busy day. We hope 'EWE' enjoy your visit!!! Drusillas Zoo Park (near Alfriston, East Sussex)

I just love going to the Zoo and Drusillas Zoo Park is more then just your average Zoo. As soon as you go through the entrance gates you are transported into a world of animals with a varied range of monkeys to waddling penguins. Drusillas doesn't just show an animal in a cage, it gives you an insight in how that animal would live in the wild with enclosures similar to their natural habitat and it involves you  going on a journey and doing activities that the animals and people around them would do. Once you have had lots of fun seeing animals there is an extensive play area for toddlers and older ones with rope swings, trampolines and massive wooden castles with ramps and ropes to reach the top. Don't worry Mums and Dads as the kids are having fun you can order Lunch in one of many different style restaurants and sit back with a coffee knowing your children are safe. My favourite part of the Zoo is the Thomas the tank engine ride around the Zoo, I went on it 4 times eating freshly made doughnuts and you always see something new each time. Just when you think you have had so much fun on a hot summers day Drusillas has its own splash park for the younger ones to cool off. Overall Dizzy Tilly gives this place a huge thumbs up and five golden stars for a fun and great family day out. To find out more information about prices and days open please take a look at Drusillas website.
