Drusillas Zoo Park (near Alfriston, East Sussex)
I just love going to the Zoo and Drusillas Zoo Park is more then just your average Zoo. As soon as you go through the entrance gates you are transported into a world of animals with a varied range of monkeys to waddling penguins. Drusillas doesn’t just show an animal in a cage, it gives you an insight in how that animal would live in the wild with enclosures similar to their natural habitat and it involves you going on a journey and doing activities that the animals and people around them would do. Once you have had lots of fun seeing animals there is an extensive play area for toddlers and older ones with rope swings, trampolines and massive wooden castles with ramps and ropes to reach the top. Don’t worry Mums and Dads as the kids are having fun you can order Lunch in one of many different style restaurants and sit back with a coffee knowing your children are safe. My favourite part of the Zoo is the Thomas the tank engine ride around the Zoo, I went on it 4 times eating freshly made doughnuts and you always see something new each time. Just when you think you have had so much fun on a hot summers day Drusillas has its own splash park for the younger ones to cool off. Overall Dizzy Tilly gives this place a huge thumbs up and five golden stars for a fun and great family day out.
